1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember things — that you are logged in, which language you chose, or that you have already seen a notice. Similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage do comparable jobs, and everything in this policy applies to them too.

Governing language. This document is published in English and in French. The English version is the governing version: if there is any conflict of meaning between the two, the English text prevails. Lami Godlove Digital operates from Limbe in the South-West Region, within Cameroon's common-law jurisdiction.

Essential cookies are set automatically, because the site cannot work without them.

Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you agree. You can change your mind at any time — through the cookie banner, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Refusing them does not restrict your access to any part of the site.

This reflects our obligations under Law No. 2024/017 relating to Personal Data Protection and, for visitors in the EEA or UK, the standards of the GDPR.

3. What we use, and why

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function — page delivery, security, and remembering your language choice between visits. These cannot be switched off. Our language preference is stored in your browser's local storage, not sent to us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages are read, how people arrive, and where they leave. It tells us patterns, not identities. Google processes this data under its own terms; you can opt out across all sites using Google's browser add-on.

Advertising

We use the Meta pixel to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram advertising works, and to avoid showing ads to people who have already enquired. If you refuse marketing cookies it does not load.

Embedded content

Some pages embed video. We use a click-to-load design: nothing is requested from the video provider until you press play, so no video cookie is set on a page you merely scroll past. Once you play a video, the provider's own cookies and policies apply.

4. How to control cookies

Our banner — accept or refuse non-essential cookies, and change your choice later.
Your browser — every major browser can block or delete cookies. Look for Privacy or Site Settings. Blocking all cookies may break parts of this and other websites.
Your device — mobile operating systems offer additional advertising controls.

Refusing cookies does not stop us processing data you give us directly, such as a contact form or an enquiry. That is covered by our Privacy Policy.
