1. Introduction

Lami Godlove Digital (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Lami Godlove Digital”) is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors, students, clients, interns and community members who use our websites, services and products. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and your rights relating to that data.

This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, students, clients, newsletter subscribers, applicants, interns and users of the Website and the Academy (collectively, “you” or “Users”).

2. Summary — Key Points (Quick view)

  • We collect only the personal data necessary to provide our services (e.g., contact details, payment data, course records).
  • We use data to deliver services (course access, client projects), process payments, improve our offerings, and communicate updates.
  • We share data only with service providers, partners, or where required by law.
  • You have rights (access, correction, deletion, objection) — see Section 9.
  • We keep data secure, retain it only as long as necessary, and regularly review our practices.
  • If you are located in Cameroon, we will respect obligations under applicable Cameroonian data protection rules and any supervisory guidance. H. Special categories & sensitive data

  • We will not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (racial or ethnic origin, health data, religious beliefs, criminal records, etc.), except where expressly required and with explicit consent and suitable safeguards (for example, a medical certificate for a specific program eligibility). If you submit such data, you must alert us and we will confirm lawful processing conditions.

4. How we collect data

  • Directly from you (forms, registration, email, chat, support tickets, course submissions).
  • Automatically via website cookies, analytics, and server logs.
  • From third parties you authorize (payment processors, identity verification providers, or integration tools you connect).
  • From publicly available sources (professional profiles, company websites) when relevant to project delivery.

We use cookie and tracking technologies to collect technical and usage data — see Section 12 (Cookies & tracking).

We process personal data for the following purposes and legal grounds (choose the legal basis appropriate for each user region — e.g., consent, contract performance, legitimate interests, compliance with law, or your explicit consent in the case of special categories).

Primary purposes

  • Performing contracts: to deliver courses, consulting, web design, and other services you purchase (legal basis: performance of contract).
  • Billing & payments: to process payments and prevent fraud (legal basis: performance of contract / legitimate interest).
  • Service administration & communication: to send transactional messages (invoices, course access, scheduling) and support communications (legal basis: performance of contract / legitimate interest).
  • Product improvements & analytics: to analyze usage and improve our services (legal basis: legitimate interest).
  • Marketing & promotions: with your consent (where required) we send newsletters, offers and training announcements (legal basis: consent / legitimate interest where permitted).
  • Legal compliance & protection: to respond to lawful requests from authorities or to enforce our Terms and defend legal claims (legal basis: legal obligation / legitimate interest).

Academy & internship specific uses

  • Administering course access, grading and certification.
  • Retaining project work and portfolios for internship verification (with your consent) and for academy record-keeping.
  • Sending course materials, assignment feedback and program updates.

6. Sharing & disclosure

We will not sell your personal data. We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: third-party processors who help us operate (payment processors, email delivery, hosting providers, LMS, analytics). We only work with vendors that implement appropriate security measures.
  • Professional advisors: lawyers, accountants, auditors where required.
  • Partners & subcontractors: for client project delivery (e.g., designers, developers) — only data necessary for the task will be shared under contract.
  • Legal requirements: to comply with lawful requests, court orders, or to protect rights, property or safety.
  • Business transfers: if we reorganize, sell or transfer assets, personal data may be transferred under confidentiality and contractual restrictions.

When we share data with processors (for example, a cloud LMS or Stripe/PayPal for payments, or Google Analytics for site analytics), those processors are required by contract to act only as instructed and to maintain security measures.

7. International transfers

Lami Godlove Digital may transfer personal data to service providers and partners located outside your country (for example, hosting or SaaS platforms). Where transfers occur, we will protect data by applying appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses, vendor security reviews, or relying on an adequacy decision where available). If you are in a jurisdiction with special cross-border transfer rules (for example EU/UK), you may have additional rights — see Section 9.

8. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above and to meet legal or regulatory obligations. Typical retention periods include:

  • Financial & billing records: minimum period as required by tax and accounting laws (commonly 3–5 years).
  • Course records and certificates: retained for 5 years to support alumni verification.
  • Support and project communications: retained for project lifecycle + 2 years.
  • Analytics & logs: aggregated or anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement; raw logs are retained for a shorter term (e.g., 12 months).

If you request deletion, we will delete your personal data unless we must retain it for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or legitimate business reasons. See Section 9 (Your rights).

9. Your rights (access, correction, deletion, objection, portability)

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Request deletion/erasure of your personal data (subject to legal exceptions).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing (e.g., direct marketing).
  • Request data portability (receive personal data you provided in a commonly used format).
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

To exercise your rights, contact us at info@lamigodlovedigital.com or use the contact details below. We will verify requests to protect privacy and respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

10. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Measures include encrypted storage for sensitive data, regular security reviews, access controls and staff training.

No system is 100% secure; if a data breach occurs that creates a real risk to your rights and freedoms we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority where required by law.

11. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics and marketing. Types of cookies used may include:

  • Essential cookies: required for site function (login, course access).
  • Performance & analytics cookies: to measure site usage (Google Analytics or equivalent).
  • Marketing cookies: to show relevant content and track campaign performance (e.g., Facebook/Meta Pixel, Google Ads).

You can manage cookie settings through our cookie banner (where available) or via your browser settings. Blocking cookies may reduce functionality. For details on cookies we use and how to opt out, see our Cookie Policy [link to your cookie policy here].

Our Website and Academy may include links, embeds, or integrations with third-party platforms (YouTube, Google Workspace, Stripe, PayPal, Zoom, Mailchimp, etc.). These third parties collect and process data under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their privacy terms before using those services.

13. Children & minors

Our services are not intentionally directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us to request deletion.

14. Processing for students, interns & community members

For students and interns, we may process educational records (attendance, assignment results) necessary for course delivery and certification. Internship supervisors and employers may request verification of attendance or a summary of project work — we will only share such information with your explicit consent or where mandated by your program/school.

For community groups (WhatsApp, Facebook, Discord), content posted in public channels is visible to other members; treat these groups as community spaces and do not post sensitive personal information there.

15. Payments & financial security

We use third-party payment processors (e.g., SumUp, bank transfer, PayPal, Stripe, MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money) to process transactions. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Payment processors have their own security and privacy rules — please consult their privacy policies.

16. Automated decision-making & profiling

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant outcomes about individuals. We may use analytics and automated tools to personalize marketing content or measure campaign success; you can object to such processing where required by law.

17. International & local law compliance

We design our processing to be compatible with major privacy regimes (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and local laws. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or certain states in the US, you may have additional rights and protections under those laws.

We will be updating practices and cooperating with local authorities as regulations and implementing rules become effective. Please consult the supervisory authority’s guidance when it is published. African Law & Business+1

18. How long before we change this policy?

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, operational or product changes. Material changes will be notified by email (where we have your address), via an in-product announcement or by a notice on the Website with an updated effective date.
